If I had just read the bio first, I would have known you were the Ron Overcash I was in a group with. Came in the back door on another search and had to ask the question. I see a lot of familiar names from my earlier years on this site. I'm in Charleston, e-mail is jack.becknell@yahoo.com and the cell is 843-860-0400. Love to hear from everybody.

I am an old Landis boy that you back when...I used to live on Beaver St...I just Wayne Deese at SOS at Ocean Drive and we started talking about all the old R&B groups that were in our area and where some of the members are. Wayne finally retired from singing and is living in Norwood. His song still get air play on the NC & SC Beach and Blues Stations. I always listen to stations playing the "right music" on the Web. 91.7 , which is the Gaston County Community College Station plays alot of Blues and Beach and be heard the Charlotte Meto area. You will have to come play in NC or SC again, we have alot of festival events and clubs that play the music

Hey Ron, I would really like to know what you are up to now. Stay in touch & shoot me an email. A job offer in West Palm is tempting me to make the move back to Fla. Hey! Remember paying our dues in Atlanta with Sonny, Jimmy Perkins, Reese(What was his last name)? I know he went on to play with Stevie Ray & I saw him sitting in on a concert with Los Lonely Boys. Then there was the different musicians that came in & stayed a week or two. Great memories-Great times. I really enjoyed playing with you. Hope we can get together soon.

I am married to a keyboard player and we call NOLA our second home. His forte is blues. Lots of friends there he plays the blues with.

Boy was I surprised when Nolan Moss called and told me he had stumbled on your web site. In case you can't remember back 45 years, I was the Excells keyboard player. i enjoyed your music but I sure miss the horn. Steve Sechler and I have been in Nashville for years working with recording artist. He is still with JOhn Conlee, I retired from the road and now substitute teach - go figure. Good to find you and take care. Happy New Year!

Hey Ron, I have been trying to find you for years. Man! It is so good to see that you are still doing what you do best. You've come a long ways since our dues days in Atlanta. I see Jimmy Perkins every once in a while and Sonny Smith is still kickin'. He lives on Lake Wylie with his Sister, drinks beer & fishes. Get in touch with me as soon as you can. I want to know everything you have been doing......Your Pal Forever.....MG

Hi Ron, Larry Murphy and myself went to Foy Bigger's wife's birthday party last night, and your name came up. I've wondered what happened to you all these years, and it lookes like you've done real well with yourself. Congratulations on your success. Larry and myself are living in Murrells Inlet, SC now. He's still playing, but I haven't played professionally since I was with Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs in 1968 abd 1969. I guess I was probably the first white guy to break the segregation era of music. I had a ball, but I had to give it up and raise my family. If you're ever down this way, give us a call, and we'll have a good time. Take it easy. Bill McSwain.

Hey Ron-hope you remember me. I'm John Spira's sister-You two used to play together way back when in the Ron Overcash Blues Band and you guys played at my wedding. As you may or may not know John has been missing since 2/23/07 and we know that he's met with foul play. We're looking into the possibility of having something for him at Kingston Mines on 2/23/08 and I'm wondering if you might be interested in playing for a couple hours in the afternoon-John would love it! Please let me know and I look forward to hearing from you. Stephanie
